Recent updates to the vPC software

Over the winter break of 2011-2012 we performed a number of upgrades to the UConn vPC which included software available to users. The following programs are NEW to vPC since the fall 2011 academic semester:

  • MS Visio Professional 2010
  • MS Project Professional 2010
  • Variations
  • Notepad++
  • 7-Zip
  • VLC media player
  • RealPlayer

In addition, a number of plug-ins were either added or updated: Adobe AIR, Flash Player, Shockwave; Java; Microsoft Silverlight; Scorch music reader; and DjVu.

Also some of the existing applications had version updates, including Minitab, NVivo, Chrome and Firefox.
